Dogs in Need Spur CDF’s Marie DiSante to Come to the Rescue
When CDF partner Marie DiSante and her husband Bill learned that Heidi, pictured, became homeless after her owners fell on hard times, DiSante took charge to find a new loving home.
CDF firm managing partner Marie DiSante and her husband Bill demonstrate their love of animals by participating in the rescue program led by the Southern California Regional Club for Bernese Mountain Dogs (BMDCSC). The club finds foster homes for any Bernese in need of help.
Bernese Mountain dogs are close to the DiSantes’ hearts. They have two of their own, Ruby and Hoby, and along with their other dog Bailey, the DiSantes have created a warm and welcoming home for foster Bernese Mountain dogs during the past three years.
Heidi became the DiSantes’ third foster rescue canine when she came to the chapter’s attention after losing her Orange County home under sad circumstances. After fostering Heidi for 3 months, it was with mixed emotions that the DiSantes said goodbye and helped Heidi settle into her new home in San Diego with a couple that already had one Bernese.
"Whether these dogs are abandoned or the owners are forced to give them away due to financial struggles, I want the parents to know that they are going to a foster home where they will be well taken care of and loved,” says DiSante.
DiSante rests assured of BMDCSC’s rigorous selection process for finding these dogs a permanent place and knows that these animals land in a wonderful new home. More information about the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Southern California is available here.
I worked with Mark Spring and his team in Sacramento, who did an outstanding job in resolving a particularly challenging sexual harassment claim. Mark and his team assessed the case very accurately early on.
Thereafter, they worked very hard and creatively in obtaining favorable facts to develop the most resonating defense theme. Their strategic zealousness and unwavering commitment to focus on the strengths of our case rather than be distracted by the trivial, was the difference and ultimately led to a very favorable resolution.
