Getting Hands Dirty to Keep Beaches Clean
CDF attorney Shirin Forootan, along with her husband Milaad, were part of a multi-lawyer cleanup effort in August 2011 sponsored by the Orange County Bar Association (OCBA) to keep local shores clean.
The OCBA Community Outreach Committee’s joint venture with the Surfrider Foundation tidied Bolsa Chica State Beach in Huntington Beach, CA. After a day spent combing the shore for litter, Forootan reports enormous satisfaction in surveying the multiple large trash bins full of debris and a sparkling clean coastline.
