About Bingxi "Ceci"

Bingxi "Ceci" Sun has experience assisting in the defense of employment-related claims including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination and wage and hour cases.  She has extensive experience in drafting answers to complaints and motions for summary judgments for such claims as workplace sexual harassment, gender discrimination and disability discrimination.  In addition, Sun has performed in-depth legal research for wage and hour and labor trafficking cases.

Prior to joining CDF, Sun was a law clerk at the L.A. City Attorney’s Office, Labor Relations Unit, where she assisted in the defense of a high profile sexual harassment lawsuit against the City of L.A.  She was also a law clerk for a global law firm’s Shanghai office where she assisted the general litigation team and served as a liaison between the attorneys of the firm and its Chinese clients.  Additionally, Sun worked for the General Counsel of a national beverage company where she assisted in advising the company on FDA and FTC regulatory compliance issues.

Sun is a certified mediator and has mediated hundreds of cases in the Small Claims Court, Limited Civil Court, and Children’s Dependency Court.  She was also a Public Interest Fellow for a legal non-profit organization in Los Angeles where she advocated on behalf of individuals and minority groups facing civil rights violations.

Sun was born in Shanghai, China, and raised on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
