Representative Experience and Accomplishments:

Obtained voluntary dismissal of all claims after negotiating a nuisance value settlement of putative wage and hour claims alleging a national FLSA class following an early deposition of the named plaintiff and prior to any class certification briefing.

Wage and hour class action trial experience in California state court, including conducting direct examinations of defense witnesses (managerial and expert witnesses) and cross-examinations of plaintiff class member witnesses and arguing evidentiary matters.

Successfully negotiated favorable settlement of sexual harassment claims after obtaining voluntary dismissal of five out of six causes of action following the plaintiff's deposition.

Second-chaired bench trial in breach of contract action in California state court, including conducting direct and cross-examinations of witnesses and arguing trial motions, resulting in judgment in favor of non-profit foundation client.

Successfully negotiated settlement of wage claims pending before the California Labor Commissioner.

Assisted in obtaining complete summary judgment on behalf of employers in various discrimination claims in state and federal courts.

Conducted multiple training seminars for employers including sexual harassment prevention training and wage and hour compliance training.

Advised clients in developing and revising employee handbook and personnel policies and on various personnel decisions concerning reductions in force, leave accommodation, drug testing and other human resource issues.
