Allison Chua represents and advises employers in all areas of labor and employment law. In particular, Chua has extensive experience defending employers against claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour disputes in state and federal courts and before administrative agencies, including the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH), and the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC). Chua has also represented employers in class and representative actions brought under the California Labor Code and the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). Moreover, Chua has experience litigating cases involving misappropriation of trade secrets and unfair competition.
In addition to her litigation practice, Chua regularly provides counseling to employers regarding employment policies and practices, including hiring, discipline, termination, leaves, and wage and hour matters.
Prior to joining CDF Chua served as General Counsel for a large staffing and human resources company, where she advised senior management on business and employment matters, investigated employee claims of discrimination and harassment, and ensured compliance with state and federal employment laws.contact me
