About Michael

Michael Armstrong defends employers against a broad range of employment-related claims, including discrimination, misclassification, harassment, wrongful termination, retaliation, wage and hour, reasonable accommodation and disability cases. Armstrong also represents clients in the defense of business litigation matters, including allegations under the California Consumer Legal Remedies Act, unfair business practice claims under California Business & Professions Code Section 17200, along with fraud and breach of contract claims.  

He has experience both prosecuting and defending matters involving the California Uniform Trade Secrets Act, and has successfully represented clients in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, mediations and arbitration hearings. 

Armstrong represents clients from a wide range of industries, including entertainment, retail, grocery, restaurant, tourism, pharmaceutical, medical device, consumer products, banking, manufacturing, environmental services, telecommunications, advertising, media and technology.

Leveraging his experience in corporate human resource management prior to his legal career, Armstrong provides employers with advice and counsel regarding labor and employee relations issues in both union and non-union work environments, including employment policy review and implementation, employee handbook drafting, wage and hour compliance audits, and workplace investigations.
