A small automotive design firm asked CDF to assist it in responding to a DFEH complaint filed by one of its former employees. In the complaint, the former employee alleged that he had not been reinstated to his position because of his disability caused by stress, and because he had taken a CFRA leave of absence. We thoroughly investigated the company's reasons for not reinstating the complainant and provided a detailed response to the DFEH along with supporting evidence. Ultimately, the DFEH concluded there was "no cause" to believe the company had violated the law and dismissed the charge. The complainant never pursued the case in court.
