Summary Judgment Dismissal in Gender Discrimination Claim Upheld on Appeal

A regional manufacturing client sought our defense against a gender discrimination/wrongful termination case brought by a former female employee whom the company had hired and relocated from another state. CDF acted early, deposed the plaintiff and was able to dismiss the entire case on summary judgment. Undaunted, the employee appealed the summary judgment ruling to the Ninth Circuit, which then affirmed the summary judgment order.
