IRVINE, Calif., February 8, 2021. CDF Labor Law LLP (CDF) proudly announces the expansion of the Editorial Board for its award-winning California Labor & Employment Law Blog (“blog”). CDF’s blog is an online web journal that allows our subscribers to access the most current information on the full spectrum of California-related labor and employment-related topics.
Our Editorial Team, made up of partners spanning the state, will continue to closely monitor, track and report on legislative and judicial developments, court decisions, administrative agency opinions, and new or revised requirements and regulations, as well as other topics of interest for those responsible for managing a workforce in California and for resolving the problems that often arise in the context of the employer-employee relationship.

Mark S. Spring, Sacramento Office Managing Partner and Chair of CDF’s Traditional Labor Law Practice Group. Mark has been practicing labor and employment law in California for thirty years. His practice has a special emphasis on the representation of California employers in union-management relations and handling federal and state court litigation and administrative matters triggered by all types of employment-related disputes. He is also adept at providing creative and practical legal advice to help minimize the risks inherent in employing workers in California. He recently named “Sacramento Lawyer of the Year” in Employment Law-Management for 2021 by Best Lawyers®.
Dan M. Forman, Los Angeles Office Managing Partner and Chair of CDF’s Unfair Competition and Trade Secret Practice Group. Dan has extensive experience counseling and litigating over trade secrets, covenants not to compete, executive compensation and severance, as well as a wide range of experience with other aspects of employment and labor law. He is leading the charge on privacy issues, including California’s CCPA law for CDF. In 2019, Dan was listed by the Daily Journal as a “Top Trade Secrets Lawyer.” He is also Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rated and was listed as a Southern California SuperLawyers® for 2021.
Kimberly M. Jansen, Partner, San Diego/Irvine. Kimberly is a seasoned, labor and employment litigator with over 15 years of experience defending employers faced with legal challenges, presented in both individual and collective capacities. Kimberly is a trusted advisor who works with employers to assess their internal practices, to investigate internal disputes and when necessary, defend their business decisions in court and arbitration. Kimberly’s background includes working with employers in such industries as manufacturing, healthcare, retail, technology and hospitality. She was listed as a Super Lawyers® Southern California Rising Star from 2013 to 2016.
Alison Tsao, San Francisco Office Managing Partner and Chair of CDF’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. Alison has over two decades of years of experience defending employers in employment-related claims relating to harassment, wrongful termination, unfair competition and employment-related tort claims. Her practice has a special emphasis in defending management in wage and hour class actions and PAGA representative actions. In fact, she is one of a few California attorneys who has taken this type of complex case all the way to trial and through various levels of appeals. Alison was a recipient of the CLAY Award for being recognized as one of the “Attorneys of the Year” in Class Actions by California Lawyer in 2015. In addition, she was recently listed as a Northern California Super Lawyers® for 2021.
Leigh A. White, Partner, Orange County. Leigh focuses her practice on complex litigation and dispute resolution, ranging from workplace discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage and hour class actions. With over 25 years defending California employers, she has a proven record of defeating class certification, obtaining favorable settlements, and representing employers at high-stakes trials. She partners with clients in developing business goals and strategies and works closely with employer human resources departments to navigate multifaceted employment law issues in California.
