CDF Ranked Nationally Among the Top 10 Based on Size for Law360's “Top Law Firms for Female Attorneys”
IRVINE, Calif. – June 5, 2018 – Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP (CDF), an award-winning employment, labor and immigration law firm recognized for protecting employers with workforces in California for nearly 25 years, has added another prestigious accolade to its growing list. CDF was recently named one of the “Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys” in Law360’s 2018 Glass Ceiling Report for firms with 20-149 attorneys.
CDF has long prioritized diversity and inclusion as bedrocks of its organization by providing top leadership opportunities for women and minority attorneys. The firm is dedicated to recruiting, developing and retaining diverse talent and ensuring CDF provides an accessible and inclusive working environment.
“Receiving national attention from Law360’s Glass Ceiling Report underscores our commitment to diversity as an ongoing and active priority,” said Marie DiSante, CDF founding partner and firm managing partner. “The gender breakdown of attorneys in private practice shows women are still underrepresented, especially when it comes to leadership roles, and we are proud to buck that trend with females representing more than half our firm and playing significant roles in firm leadership.”
CDF has served as a trusted advisor to employers for more than two decades, promoting diversity and gender-equality along the way. The firm strives to continue to keep the heartbeat of diversity and inclusion strong and seek new approaches to improve our efforts.
In addition to having a Diversity and Inclusion Committee, CDF also is actively involved in several diversity-focused organizations and programs, including Women Presidents Organization, California Minority Counsel Program, African American Managing Partners Network and the Thurgood Marshall Bar Association.
For the annual Glass Ceiling Report, Law360 surveyed more than 300 U.S. firms about their demographics as of Dec. 31, 2017. In order to make this prestigious list, Law360 grouped firms based on U.S. attorney headcount and firms with below-average female headcount at any level were excluded. The remaining firms were ranked by the percentage of female non-partners and female partners and for the top ranked firms in every tier, women make up at least 50 percent of a firm’s total attorney workforce.
