PRESS RELEASE

IRVINE, CALIF.—In step with its 17th anniversary, Carlton DiSante & Freudenberger LLP, a boutique labor and employment firm to California employers, is changing its name to Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP.

"Our founding partners came from big firms and we purposely created a firm that is agile in client response and rewarding to our partners," says Managing Partner Marie DiSante.  As CDF's new chapter opens, San Diego Managing Partner Dave Carothers' name replaces Chris Carlton's in the firm's name. "Dave is a brilliant trial attorney with approximately 60 cases tried to verdict. His extraordinary teamwork and commitment to CDF are such that we are thrilled to add his name," adds DiSante.

CDF's executive leadership team will continue with Brent Giddens, managing partner of the Los Angeles office, and Mark Spring of the firm's Sacramento office setting both policy and direction. "Mark and Brent have each demonstrated unwavering dedication to their clients and to CDF's growth across the state. Their leadership is key to our success," says Tim Freudenberger, partner in the firm's Orange County office.

Earlier this year, the firm launched an exhaustive review of client needs, which served as the blueprint for CDF's new website. "California's legal landscape is constantly changing and employers need faster resources than before," says Spring.  "Our site is engineered to what clients need first and fast to stay on top of employment issues," he adds. The firm's new site can be found at www.CDFLaborLaw.com.

As one of the few firms that exclusively practices employer-side labor and employment law in California, Freudenberger explains that is a strategic advantage, "We are 100% focused on employment related issues in California and know what employers are up against from the northern reaches of the state to the Mexican border," he says.

That California focus has brought CDF work in representing and advising name companies in industries that include aerospace, apparel, food and beverages, transportation, manufacturing, cable and telecommunications, grocery and retail, healthcare, technology, restaurants, higher education, entertainment, insurance, banking, and employment staffing agencies.

The firm's progressive culture is reflected in its diversity statistic of total women and minority attorneys, who represent 46.67% of our attorneys.  Diversity is also seen in the firm's leadership as the firm's seven-attorney Executive Committee consists of three women and two ethnic minority attorneys.

Founded in 1994, CDF has 33 attorneys in five California offices. The firm's client base includes businesses ranging from Fortune 100 companies to local entrepreneurial enterprises.  The firm's range of practices includes EEO claims, wage and hour, unfair competition and trade secrets, class actions,  wrongful termination and workplace tort litigation, immigration, traditional labor law, workplace safety, business reorganization, restructuring and downsizing, workplace solutions, advice and training.

CDF maintains offices in Sacramento, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orange County, and San Diego.  For more information, please contact Dorothy Rausa at drausa@CDFLaborLaw.com or (949) 622-1661.
