“Before Harvey Weinstein, I think most HR departments were trying to fly low and avoid the radar on this kind of thing even though the typical workplace has done a pretty good job of minimizing it,” said Todd Wulffson, a labor and employment attorney with Irvine-based Carothers DiSante & Freudenberger LLP who provides sexual harassment training to businesses throughout California. “But now if something does come to their attention … they are jumping on it right away. They’re being more proactive.”
