About Willie
Willie Mincey is a senior counsel in CDF's Sacramento office who advises and defends employers in a broad range of labor and employment matters. He is dedicated to helping clients navigate the complexities of employment law with practical, strategic guidance tailored to their business needs.
Willie has experience representing employers in federal and state courts, as well as in administrative proceedings and arbitrations. His practice focuses on defending claims involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace disputes.
Before transitioning to labor and employment law, Willie spent five years as a public defender with the San Francisco and Alameda County Public Defender’s Offices. There, he developed substantial courtroom experience, trying more than 25 jury trials to verdict. This background informs his litigation approach today, giving him a strong command of trial strategy, advocacy, and case evaluation.
Willie leverages his courtroom experience and deep understanding of employment law to deliver effective, results-driven representation while helping employers proactively minimize risk.
